Healing the Children
Healing the Children (HTC) is one of the oldest and largest non-governmental, humanitarian, volunteer-driven nonprofits in the country. HTC partners with U.S. healthcare providers to help underserved children around the world secure urgent, life-saving medical care. Through HTC’s International Inbound (IIB) program, children are referred to HTC when their medical conditions cannot be treated in their home countries. HTC collaborates with international partners, hospitals, doctors, and volunteer host families to bring young patients to the U.S. for medical care – at no cost to the children’s families. Mark Kull and his family have sponsored two children through the IIB program. Mark Kull was the Northwestern Mutual Community Service Award winner in 2024 for his family’s work with HTC.
Norton Children’s Hospital Foundation
The Norton Children’s Hospital Foundation is the philanthropic arm for Norton Children’s pediatric facilities and services. The foundation raises funds exclusively for Norton Children’s Hospital, Kentucky’s only full-service, free-standing hospital created “Just for Kids”; Norton Children’s Medical Center; and pediatric services at Norton Women’s & Children’s Hospital to support programs, equipment, new technologies, clinical research, child advocacy and health education for patients, families, medical staff and the community. West End School
Founded in 2005 with just three middle school students, West End School has grown over the past 17 years and is now serving over 140 boys in pre-k through eighth grade. In addition, students who are graduates of the program may continue to live on campus while attending local high schools. Additionally, WES provides counseling support to address emotional, behavioral, and academic concerns. Capitalis Planning Partners is a proud supporter of West End School and volunteers at the school.
Family Scholar House
Family Scholar House serves disadvantaged residential and nonresidential single moms and dads and their children with a comprehensive, holistic continuum of care that meets them where they are and empowers them toward their educational, career and family goals. Our residential families have experienced poverty, unstable housing and, most often, domestic violence. Capitalis Planning Partners is a proud supporter of Family Scholar House and participates in the Adopt-a-Family program.
Manhood Journey
Manhood Journey, helps men live as a more confident, godly dad who leads his family without regrets. They provide small group Bible study guides and one-on-one study tools so you can lead small groups with other fathers and sons or disciple a young man where there’s no father. Capitalis Planning Partners is a proud supporter of Manhood Journey.
Dare to Care
Dare to Care partners with local social service agencies, such as food pantries, shelters, and emergency kitchens to distribute food to our community. Dare to Care also fights hunger through programs targeting the most vulnerable in our community. These programs include Kids Cafe, School Pantry, Prescriptive Pantry, Mobile Pantry, Cooking Matters, and a variety of targeted initiatives to reach senior citizens.
